Bossy April

Before I forgot, Berenice just reminded me on IM, and I need to write this down...

After getting herself familiar in daycare, and when the daycare has a few more kids to interact with. April's bossy personality started to surface. There is this rocking horse in the play room. The rule went like this:

1. If April is on the horse, no one can get on it until she's done
2. When April is not rocking it, no one can play it either. That's HER horse.

After the daycare lady told us, we both worked on her. Telling her what's "SHARING". That's when she was about 1 - 1.5 years old.

After enough counselling, her rule got modified...

1. Rule #1 above stays true
2. New rule: if you want to get onto the horse, you need a permission nod from April
3. New rule: sometime April will point to the lucky kid, who will ride the horse at the point she tell him/her to, not any time later or sooner, nor does it matter whether the lucky kid wants to rock the horse or not at that point (that's probably her definition to SHARING, sign...)

Also noted, April hasn't started talking yet at this age, so all the rules are carried out in action sequences.

This behavior persist for a while before she get bored of this game of herself. Mommy will have more bossy incidents to report in the future. Stay tuned.

Both Will and I denied this trace. So our conclusion is from our upper ancestor :P
