Mazda 5

Any European car after warranty period will turn into a terrible repairment nightmare. Same thing happened to Mommy's VW Golf. April 2006 marked the end of the 5 years warranty for Mommy's Golf. And right after that, one repair after another, each one costed hundreds of dollars. End of that summer, Mommy told Daddy, that's the end of it. We sold it the last week of August, at the time we gave out our car in exchange for a check, Mommy kept wondering why would anyone in this world want to own such a high maintenance car? Is that why men doesn't mind demanding girlfriend?

Mommy's instruction to Daddy is "A car that's good maintenance track record and a big enough car for a family but cannot be a SVU or mini van and it has to be cheap. Too much money has been wasted on car." With these requirement, the car consultant of the house started searching feverishly on the web. His report is either Mazda 5 or Rav 4. Mommy went tested both, Rav4 is not bad, but too tall for Mommy's height and it's more demanding to put April onto the car seat, it does has more power and gas mileage is not bad compare to Mazda 5. Then again Mazda 5 is way cheaper. What really draw Mommy's interest is Mazda 5's sliding door, plenty of room to get April in and out and don't need to worry about angle issue. Also the height is perfect for a 5ft person to load and unload a kid, Mommy don't need to bend her waist. It's a great relief. Therefore, Labor Day weekend, we got the Mazda 5.
