One funny thing about starting preschool is the taking off shoes habit. Since April stayed in Chinese daycare, she has learnt to take off shoes at the front door. We do that at home, which is a good habit. For her 2.5 years since birth, that's all she's experienced. Therefore, she did the same thing at preschool, probably also the first couple weeks. Mommy was wondering why her socks are all black when she picked her up. Then realized she was wearing socks in the room the whole day while everyone wears shoes! Mommy had to do another consultation to get her understand the western rule.
